LafeberCares.com is all about celebrating your feathered, scaley or furry companion from the day your buddy was hatched (or born); through the joys and learnings of their lives; through their passing away and honoring the grief we all feel when our buddy leaves this world.

This web site was inspired by Beau Davis-Lafeber, the world’s most wonderful Greenwing Macaw (all Greenwings know they are the most wonderful). Beau passed away on December 24, 2006. Beau was Dr. Lafeber’s constant home and office companion. As Dr. Lafeber tried to create a wonderful way to honor Beau, he found that many other animal lovers were also looking for better ways to honor their departed friends. LafeberCares.com was initially created as Dr. Lafeber’s way of honoring Beau and all of our departed feathered friends.

Babydoll, a full-of-herself blue & gold Macaw and Christine Davis’s bestest buddy, wanted to be honored NOW, and felt dying should not be a prerequisite. The idea celebrating our loved ones NOW was “hatched” and birdie blogs and bird web pages were created.

Dr. Lafeber and Christine Davis honor all animals so this web site is open to all animals and their companions that love them. We hold a special place in our hearts for birds, which LafeberCares.com reflects.
