mating

my two tiels have been trying to mate but still am not sure one is a girl.. the one i am pretty sure is a boy is always getting on top of the other bird i am not sure if anything is happening but i see the the white faced tiel which might be a girl tries to get ontop of the boy once in a while. do you think there is a pretty good chance that they are both boys?buddy is about 3 and a half and sasha is about 5 i do have a third bird and i do know for sure its a girl but they want nothing to do with her.. buddy is always singing to sasha and sasha does not make much noise at all thank you

Dear Marta

If your white faced Cockatiel is a boy, you can surely tell what sex he is as he will have a stunning white face and crest. No cheek patch. As the females will have a duller color.. Also Females will have the yellow (or white) barring on the tail feathers  Males do not have this as they are shiny black. Hope that helps you out. As you did not mention as to what mutation your other birds were.
