sore spots on tallons
a few weeks ago our bird got his tallon caught between the closest door and floor. It was a very small sore spot that healed on its own a a week. now he seems to be picking at two other tallons on the same foot and has made it very sore.i woul like to know what i coul put on them to help heal them and maybe stop him from picking at them. Hi Diana,
His foot must be bothering him & it is possible he developed an infection. It would best to take him to an avian vet to have him treated. He may need oral antibiotics. Greys are prone to obsessive behavior, so you need to get him treated right away before this develops into a habit.
