My Wonderful Bird

This is our 26 year old big baby girl. She has been a part of our family for over 8 years now. She came from an animal shelter that I would volunteer time at. When Clackers came in she had a bare chest,no tail feathers, and would just sit there nervously making ticking noises like the plastic toy called a clacker. Thats how she named herself. She came from a bad situation where the guy fed her impropperly and kept her in a tiny rusted out cage with nothing to do but to pick her feathers. It took over a year before the vet would clear her health records up since all she was eating before was sunflower seeds. Now she will eat everything off of your plate if you let her. Her favorite human foods besides fruit n veggies are spagetti, chili, macaroni, and popcorn. Every morning before I even do my hair she is paitiently waiting for her cakes and a couple of walnuts. But if Im not there within 10 minutes she will start to say her name like she is reminding me to hurry up. She can be such a pistol sometimes when shes got it in her head that she wants something that you are munching on. She will even crawl off of her cage and waddle over to you and eyeball up at you like ( gimmie some).
